There is much to say about Mount Govardhana, and the authors in this volume do so with authority and wisdom. There is little I would add. Perhaps a few geographical and matter-of-fact details would be appropriate, just to get the reader started, and I will end with a little esoterica, just to whet the readers’ appetite. After that, I will briefly mention the authors and their contributions to this issue.
