Abstract
David Haberman has performed a great service to the worlds of Vaishnava scholars and practitioners with this massive project. He has been working with the Bhaktirasåm®tasindhu (hereafter BRAS) in one way or another for most of his career, and at last has been rewarded with the opportunity to publish a complete annotated translation of that important theological text of the Gau∂îya Vaishnava movement. The presentation of the work is ideal, with the Sanskrit text on the left page and its translation immediately opposite on the right, so that scholars can read the original text along with Haberman’s masterful translation. And, as he notes, this edition is more likely to be read by those already somewhat familiar with its contents than by the casually curious.
