Abstract
Jiva Gosvami (A.D. 1518?-1610), the nephew of Rupa and Sanatana was the cheif theologian and commentator of the second generation of the Gaudiya Vaisnava school in Vrindavana. The Gapalu-Campu is his magnum opus. It is indeed the largest work in the corpus of the Gaudiya Vaisnava works. It is written in the campu style, i.e. a combination of verse and ornate prose.
