Abstract
Viṣṇu’s incarnations as Rama and Krishna, as well as the story of the churning of the ocean of milk, are very popular in art forms in
Cambodia. Many incidents from the later life of Rāma and the early life of Krishna, as well as battle scenes from the epics and the Purāṇas, are depicted on the walls of temples dedicated to Viṣṇu, Śiva, and the Buddha in Southeast Asia.
