Abstract

The Råsa Lîlå is a circular dance; and it can be difficult to break into a circle. But once one is inside this particular circle, it is sublime from every angle. Likewise for the reviewer of Graham M. Schweig’s Dance of Divine Love: there are so many aspects that need explaining, and viewpoints possible, that it’s hard to know where to start. But since all are substantial, any one will do. Briefly, then: this book is an event—for Vaishnavas and everyone else. Long awaited by insiders, it will be a grace to outsiders, too. Let me explain this in terms of subject and author.
